Boston

My last day of vacation was spent touring Boston.  I woke up really early and headed into the city.  Because I enjoyed the bus tours in NYC and knew it was a good way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time, I decided to do the same thing in Boston.  They have trolley tours there with about 19 different stops all around the city.  I found the place to pickup my tickets and headed off on the first tour of the day.

Boston is such a cool city because there is so much history.  It was so amazing to see some of the really old buildings with the backdrops of the new modern buildings.

I rode the tour all the way around so I could see everything and then decided to ride it again later and then I could get off at the places that I really wanted to see.  The trolley was a little harder to see and take pictures out of than the double decker bus so I was glad I did the tour twice and could sit on different sides of the bus.

Here are some highlights of the things I saw:
Bunker Hill Monument
Faneuil Hall
Faneuil Hall
Samuel Adams Grave
Where everybody knows your name....
Trinity Church
M.I.T.
Beacon Hill
Boston Tea Party
Massachusetts State House
Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge
USS Constitution
Fenway Park
Quincy Market

Part of my tour included a boat ride on the Boston Harbor Cruise.  The boat ride was so nice and relaxing and had amazing views of the city.

After I was done with all the tours I walked around Boston a little more and then headed to Cambridge to see Harvard.

Once I was done walking around Harvard, it was time to head to the airport to catch my flight back home.
Boston Logan airport from the boat cruise
By the time I made it to the airport, I was exhausted!  I had seen and done so much in such a short amount of time, but it was worth every minute.  I'm so thankful to have lost so much weight so that I could go to all of these places.  I don't know that I could have done it before losing 85 pounds and if I did go I would have been miserable and definitely not done as much as I did.  It's a great feeling and I'm so thankful!

This was truly a trip of a lifetime!
