Annalie's Home!

Last night my sister Annalie came back from Honduras.  She's been living there for 2 1/2 years doing mission work and we are so happy to have her back home!  Thankfully she made it back home before our niece Sophie was born so she can be here for her birth.  Sophie should be here any day now.

We had a great celebration and my entire family was able to go to the airport to welcome her home and go out to eat after.  It was a great time of celebrating and being together as a family.

Weigh-In Wednesday

Last week: 182.7
This week: 180.5
Total loss: 2.2lbs

This was the first week of the challenge that I'm doing and it was a great way to help me get back on track.  I didn't do quite as good with my eating and working out as I wanted to, but I'm getting there!

I decided that my overall goal for the challenge is to be in the 160's.  So that means I need to lose 12 more pounds by the end of September.  I feel like this is an attainable goal and I'm going to work as hard as I can to reach it.

Here are my continued goals for the week:
  1. Pre-plan all my meals and workouts
  2. Track all my food
  3. Workout 5 days per week
  4. Drink at least 64oz. of water
  5. Stay accountable by reporting on my progress and blogging consistently
Hope everyone has a great week and continues to make healthy choices!

If anyone is interested in watching my weekly weigh-in video, I've posted it below.  It's been 2.5 months since I made a video and it was crazy to realize that in all of that time, I only lost a little over a pound.  I'm thankful with everything that's been going on in my life that I didn't gain anything, but this motivates me even more to keep losing!

Weekend Fun!

This weekend was packed full of fun activities!  Friday night my sister and I met for dinner and then went to a painting party at a friends house.  I've been to painting parties before, but this one was really fun because it was led by a friend of mine and it was at her house with several friends.  So it was fun and really relaxed.  Instead of all painting the same thing, she had different stencils and scrapbook paper and we could paint whatever we wanted.  We had such a good time.  Thanks Audrey!

I was supposed to go to a party for my friend Heather on Saturday morning.  She rented a party boat and had a bunch of people out of the lake.  Unfortunately I completely overslept and missed it! :(  It was nice to have the morning to relax but I was so bummed.

Then Saturday night we had a going away party for our friend Mary. She is moving to Arkansas to go to PA school so we threw her a party.  Everyone contributed and we were able to buy her a really nice camera that she had been wanting for a long time.  She was so surprised and we had such a good time!

At the party we started talking about getting foot massages.  Our friend Jenia told us place she went to this place earlier that day where you can get a foot/calf massage for 1 hour and it only costs $30.  She was talking about how amazing it was and how they even do 15 min on your back, neck, and shoulders.  We were talking about how amazing that would be and she told us that they were open until 11:00pm.  So we called and made appointments at 10:00.  A few of us left the party as they were leaving to go to another place and went and got foot massages!  It was so random, but so much fun, haha!  After we got done, we went back and met up with them at Barcadia.  I loved it!

Happy Foot...just one!

Sunday I met up with Jake, Holly, and Jenia for lunch before Jake and Holly left to go back to Oklahoma.  Then I went shopping during the afternoon in the crazy Texas heat!

The weekend ended with having a girls night at our house and watching The Bachelorette finale.  Love that Emily chose Jef and they seem really happy together.  All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

New Car

A couple of weeks ago I ended up getting a new car.  My brother works for a Honda dealership and he's been able to get me really good deals on my last 3 cars from them.  I wasn't looking for a new car, but we had a big storm here and they had tons of cars that got hail damage.  He told me that he could get me a really good deal on one of those cars if I was interested.  So I went in and ended up getting a much nicer car and was able to lower my payments quite a bit.  It worked out really good for both of us and I'm really happy with my new car!

Friends and Babies

Last week my friend Holly came into town and we all got to spend time together and went over to our friend Michelle's house to see her new baby, Elijah.  We always have so much fun together and I love these girls so much!

I've learned that I do really good when I'm at home and in a routine.  The past month with all the traveling I've been doing I really got away from my healthy eating habits and my workout schedule.  Now that I'm back home, I'm so ready to get back into my routine and lose these last 40 pounds.  I'm extremely motivated to continue losing and I know that I can do it!

So remember those 2 pounds that I lost when I was in New York?  Well I found them in! I'm back up on the scale a little bit, but I know I can get the weight off and get back to where I was soon.

At the end of September I'm going to Chicago to meet up with fellow weight loss bloggers.  They created a challenge to lose as much weight as possible before our trip and the timing couldn't be more perfect. I think this is exactly what I need to get me back on track and keep me motivated for the next couple of months.

The challenge starts today and lasts until September 26th.  So 71 days to work as hard as I can to lose more weight.  I'm excited about it and there are prizes involved!

So for the time being, I'm moving my weigh-in days to Wednesdays so I can report my weight weekly for the challenge.

My starting weight for the challenge is 182.7.

Here are the things that I know I need to do to be successful:
  1. Pre-plan all my meals and workouts
  2. Track all my food
  3. Workout 5 days per week
  4. Drink at least 64oz. of water
  5. Stay accountable by reporting on my progress and blogging consistently

So here we go...wish me luck!
