Weekly Weigh-In #31

This week I weighed in at 201.8 for a loss this week of 0.4lbs and a total loss of 63.5lbs.  I'm super happy with the loss considering how the last couple of weeks have gone.  I'm just happy to not have a gain!  My goal of being under 200 by the end of the year didn't happen, but I am so close!  I'm not worried about it and I know I will get there hopefully next week.

In my video I talk about having to travel the next two weeks for work.  I have to stay on track while I'm out of town.  Do any of you have any advice or helpful hints for sticking with your diet and exercise while traveling?  I've traveled since I had my lap-band, but I was on vacation so I wasn't as worried about it, but this time it's for work and I am not going to get off plan!

Hope you all have a great week and keep making good choices to achieve your goals!

  1. Yay! Almost there... as for advice on sticking on track. I say pre-plan your meals ahead. Exercising... if your staying in a hotel, they should have a gym to use. Either way, I know you'll stay on track. :)

  2. Yay! You are soooo close Andrea! Good job! I don't travel with my job, but Manda's advice is pretty good - just make sure you stick with pre planning your meals and definitely use the gym at the hotel if they have one. Good luck! You will be just fine!

  5. You are doing so well! I'm so so pleased for you. As you have said, you would possibly have gained weight pre lap band over the holidays so you are definately making good choices. That should provide you with some reassurance for your travels. You may have gained weight before and eaten luxuriously but now (with a little friendly helper) you can make good choices while you are away. xx

  6. I would say bring your own food. The best combo of stuff that is portable and works for you. keep good snacks with you at all times -- getting off your routine can really screw with your hunger cycles etc. Also I would buy a 6 or 12 pack of water -- hotel tap water is usually gross and vending machines cost $$$.

  7. I agree with what others have said, bring some healthy snacks with you - or hit up the store once you get there. most hotel rooms will have a mini fridge.

sorry i haven't watched the video yet, my laptop connection is too slow for videos :(

  10. How exciting onederland is almost here! You are doing great and are an awesome inspiration...keep up good work. When I travel, most hotels have a gym and I usually try to get down there and walk/run on treadmill in the morning before working(usually work doesn't start for me until 9 when travelling so its easy to get in some miles before the day starts) I also pack snacks in my bag---good healthy ones and buy some drink packs and throw those in as well. I usually buy a big thing of water when I get to where I am going so then I just mix the drink packs in. Good luck!

  11. You look great! Pre-congrats on onederland.
You can totally manage the band while on the road. Take a couple of snacks - nuts & protein bars pack well & make it through airport security.

Most hotels I stay at have mini-fridges in the rooms. Stop by a grocery store & pick up things to stash in there. I usually grab greek yogurt & soy milk.

    good luck :)
