Work has been crazy busy. We're working on a project implementation that is going live at the end of January and we're trying to develop all of the training materials and get things finished up this week since everyone will be out of the office for the holidays. Our training starts on January 9th, so even though it feels like we still have awhile, it's really just right around the corner. I'll be traveling for 3 weeks in January to Washington DC, The Woodlands, and Atlanta to deliver the training. It's going to be a crazy next month!
But it hasn't been all work. This week I got to do lots of fun stuff too! Monday night I went to my lap-band support group and got to see Beth and Debi. Tuesday night I got to hang out and have dinner with friends and Wednesday I went to a painting party for my friend Michelle's birthday. I had never been to a painting party, but it was really fun. I'm not very artistic so I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it or not, but it was pretty easy.
Then last night I went with my friend Heather to the Gaylord Texan to see the ICE exhibit. The Gaylord is only 10 miles from my house, but I have never been. All the Christmas decorations there were so beautiful! It was amazing to see all the ice sculptures and all the detail that went into making them.
I'm so excited because my little sister comes home tomorrow!
Even though I've been constantly on the go, I've still managed to get in my workouts and even a little more this week than usual. I've just been trying to schedule them in whenever I have a free moment whether it's late at night or during lunch.
I read this on the Beck Diet Solution website today and thought it was really good.
"If you were driving on the highway and missed your exit, would you say, “Forget it” and keep driving? No! You’d get off at the very next exit and turn around. If you make a mistake this weekend, immediately turn yourself around and get right back on track."
I'm guilty of eating something that probably wasn't the best choice and then continuing to eat bad instead of just getting right back on track. Hope everyone has a great weekend full of good choices!
