I'm Thankful For...My Parents

I am so thankful for my parents!  They made so many sacrifices for me and my brothers and sisters.  My dad is a pastor and my mom is a teacher.  When I was in fourth grade, my mom quit teaching to homeschool my brothers and sisters.  It would have been the easy way out for my mom to send us to school and keep teaching or be a stay at home mom, but she decided to give us the best possible education and opportunities.  They always made sure that we had every opportunity and we were involved in so many activities.  When I was younger I used to think that they were so strict, but now I know that they were trying to protect me and I am so thankful for all that they did for me!

My parents are always there for me and are so supportive of everything I do.  I talk to them on the phone almost every day and whenever I need something they are always there to help or usually know the answer to my questions.  They set a good example for me of what a Godly marriage looks like and they have been married for 33 years.  I hope to have a relationship like theirs someday and hope to someday be as good of a parent to my children as they were to me.

I love you Mom and Dad!

  3. It is wonderful that your parents have been such good role models for you. I'm sure they are very proud as a parent I always hope that I'm making the right choices and saying the right things to my boys.
