I'm Thankful For...My Grandmother

I am so thankful for my Grandmother!!!  She is so special to me and I love her so much!  She's been my only grandparent for a long time now and more than makes up for being the only one.  Grandmother is going to turn 84 next month.  She still lives on her own and loves her independence.  After being a teacher for many years, she worked at a Bible College for 27 years in many different roles.  She was the dean of women there for 10 years and still lives on campus of the college to this day.  She has so many people that know and love her all around the world.  Last year she finally retired from working full-time at 82 years old.  Grandmother joined Facebook and has almost 800 friends!  She loves being able to keep up with her family and friends from all over.

God and family are the 2 most important things to my grandmother.  She loves them both more than anything.  She prays for each and every one of us every single day.  She has traveled to around 20 countries and has been to every continent except for Antartica and spoken at many churches and women's conferences as well as leading missions trips.

Grandmother has 2 daughters, my mom and my Aunt Linda and from her 2 daughters she has 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and another one on the way.

Grandmother and her first great grandchild
After I graduated from college, I lived with Grandmother for several months until I got my own place.  I so enjoyed my time living with her.  I'm her first grandchild and we have a special bond.  I am so thankful for her example in my life and all her prayers!  She means the world to me and I love her with all of my heart!!!
