I'm Thankful For...My Dog

Okay I know this may sound silly to some people, but I am genuinely thankful for my dog, Maddie.  I got Maddie in 2005 when she was 6 weeks old.  I was living in an apartment by myself and working from home and I thought it would be great to have a companion.  She was the cutest puppy, but she was soooo bad!  She chewed up everything including the furniture!

Maddie graduated from obedience school, but it didn't really work, haha!  She finally grew out of her puppy stage...almost 3 years later!  But Maddie has been a great companion for me.  She lays at my feet every day when I am working.  I've been through a lot in the almost 7 years since I got Maddie and she has always been there for me.  She knows when I am sick or not feeling good and tries to make me feel better.  She has the biggest personality of any dog I know and she is so smart, really too smart for her own good!

She loves playing outside and chasing squirrels...

She loves going on walks and watching/chasing the ducks...

She hates dressing up in costumes, if you couldn't tell by the look on her face, haha!

She likes to play Wii with my brother Adam.

She loves playing in the snow, but we rarely get snow in Texas.

And she loves to cuddle with me after a long day.

I'm thankful I've had Maddie to be with me through the good and the bad.  She is always happy to see me and makes my life better.
