Weekly Weigh-In #21

This week I lost .6 pounds for a total loss of 53.3 pounds.  So, I am always happy with a loss, but I know I could have done better this week.  There are some weeks where I don't have the greatest loss, but know I did everything that I could, but not this week.  I know I could have worked out more (I only went to the gym 2 times this week) or I could have eaten better.  I'm so happy with where I am and normally during weeks that are this busy and stressful I would have completely gone off the deep end with my eating.  I'm happy that I didn't and did still manage to get in two workouts, but next week I'm really going to step up my game and get back to basics.

I took my weekly weigh-in pictures this week and realized I was wearing the same shirt 4 months ago.  So I decided to compare those pictures and it's really amazing to see how far I've come in 4 months!

This week I struggled with a hard decision.  A year and a half ago I got my real estate license.  My mom owns a real estate company and so I decided to work part-time for her.  I thought it would be nice to make some extra money on the side.  My sister was moving out and I was looking for roommates and thought it would be nice to have some extra income if I went awhile without roommates.  I've really enjoyed doing real estate, but I've paid WAY more than I've made.  I just don't have the time it takes to put into it to really make money.  I already have a full-time job.  Although I enjoy helping friends and family, it's gotten to be too much and I'm really not making any money.  So after much thought, I decided to put my license into an inactive state.  I can always renew it and not have to take the state boards again, but I will have to pay around $700 to get all my memberships active again.  I guess it would be worth it if I had a client that would for sure use me because I would still make a pretty good profit, but for now I think this is the right decision.  So I had to take care of canceling and making all of those changes this week.

My full-time job has been really busy!  I'm working on a huge project and things probably won't slow down until the end of January.  I enjoy being busy though and I feel like I'm more productive when I'm busy.

Other than that, things have been going really good.  I'm super happy with where I am in life and on my weight loss journey.  I feel like I'm just about at the right fill level and things are going good.

Since I didn't do so hot on my goals last week, I'm posting them again this week.  I'm going to really focus on them.

  • Track all my food (even if it's bad).
  • Workout at least 3 times this week
  • Drink more water

Hope y'all have a great week!

  2. First of All ~ you look awesome ~ big difference in the photos! Good job on the loss. I can totally relate to your decision with your Real Estate License..I am going through a tough time with my career and am looking for another job ~ I've been told it takes up to three years in the business to make money where I live....I'm running out of time.
Love your goals ~ I have such a hard time tracking food ~ It seems I overeat on days I'm tracking...hmmmm its too much pressure. Have a great week! You ROCK!

  3. Yes, I can definitely see the difference in the top. You look really good.

And one thing that really stood out to me, you mentioned how busy you have beeen and stressed, but you didn't eat over it. I believe that's worth really thinking about and owning that accomplishment. :)

  7. Wow!! You look amazing hon. Seriously keep up the good work and as you know, a loss is a loss, as much as we'd like to see them higher sometimes. Please remind me of this too next time I'm blah about a small loss. *heart you*

  8. I think you're making a smart decision, why pour money into something you haven't made a return on? My grandpa just started trying to get into real estate and has had zero success with it either (so basically it's going just like we told him it would).

I hate those weeks when you don't know what's going on with the scale!
