Weekly Weigh-In #7/Challenge Week 2

Hi Blog Friends!  Sorry I've been MIA this week!  I have been so busy and I haven't had spare minute to post or read blogs in the last several days.  I'm hoping to get caught up today.

This week I'm combining my weekly weigh-in and challenge posts since I got really behind.  I lost 0.8 pounds this week.  Not great, but still a loss.  This week I have still not been feeling very good, but a lot better than I was.  I called the doctor yesterday after I got done taking antibiotics for 10 days and still feeling crappy to find out if I should go back in or what, but I haven't heard back yet.  I just want to be back to 100% and start working out again.  I think that's part of the reason I didn't lose much this week because I didn't workout one time.  I'm just not feeling well enough.  Also, I've been having really bad  pain off and on in my stomach on the side where my port is.  I'm not sure what it is.  It kind of feels like really bad muscle pain.  There is no redness or pain around the incision area.  So I don't know what it is. It makes me kind of nervous, but it could just be sore and maybe was irritated by the fill I had this week?  Has anyone else experienced anything like that?

Update: The pain went away the day after I posted this and hasn't hurt since then.  I'm not sure what it was, but I'm happy it's gone!

Even though I haven't been feeling well, I still managed to have some fun.  My sister has been on vacation for the last 2 weeks in New Zealand and came back on Wednesday.  So Thursday my family all went to lunch together and then my sister and I spent the day together and then watched all of the episodes of Big Brother together since she has been out of town since it started.  We both love watching that show and enjoy watching it together.  So it was fun to spend time with her and catch up.

My cousin Rusty is a pro MMA fighter and he had his first fight in the Dallas are (that was televised on HDNET) so we were all able to go watch.  This was the first fight I've watched or been to so it was quite the experience, but it was so fun and of course it made it better that he won!  We had some family in town this weekend too so it's been super busy.  I plan to take the day today and get some things done around the house, rest up, and catch up on some blogs!

Hope everyone is doing great!  I'll leave you with some pictures from the fight.

  1. A loss is a loss, my friend ! Family fun is always good ... looks like the wresting was a lot of fun. Have a great day !

  2. I have that pain in my port area sometimes, still. Don't have any advice, but I'm sure it goes away at some point... lol

Great loss for the week. :)

  3. Hey, I just checked - I work in HR too !! I posted on Stephanie's blog (about the size 18 petite jeans) but then figured you wouldn't see her comments ... when you quickly go from 18 to 16 ... hopefully, I'll be ready for your size 18 petites ! :)

  4. The fight looked like a lot of fun.
Do not fool around with pain in your stomach. Get your butt to the doctors.

  5. I agree with Robyn - please go see about that pain..

Muscular men sweating?? Now that sounds like a fun evening!! Great photos - thank you for sharing!!

  6. Boy, you and I are really keeping pace with each other...I lost .6 last week so we are right there neck and neck...

Definately have the pain in your stomach checked out...

  7. Well, a. your cousin is hot. :) B. I have pain around my port area every once in a while, but it never lasts for too long and it is more nagging pain than horrible pain. C. A loss is a loss. Keep it up!!

  8. I'd take any loss I can get right about now! Keep it up!

I'd be too nervous to watch a fight if I knew the person fighting.

  9. How cool is that??!! And wow, you have a beautiful family - all y'all are some attractive people! Good genes, I guess! :) You're doing so well - so happy for you. Your scale pic struck a chord with me. I can remember that weight, 232 and how very long I was at that weight. It was my identity for years. I'm happy to say 'was' and it inspires me to want to continue to work to try to lose these last 30lbs. I love your pics - thanks for sharing - and keep up the great work!! You are focused!

  10. I lived at/around that weight for MONTHS. Months I tell ya!!! I was ready to throw in the towel...but the scale DID move and it WILL move for you!!!
